November 3rd Update
CalFresh (SNAP) benefits have not been distributed due to the ongoing federal government shutdown over the budget. A federal court has ordered the U.S. government to use contingency funds to issue benefits, with a compliance deadline of Monday, November 3, 2025. Even if the government complies, benefit distribution is expected to be delayed.
Local Impact: Solano County
The delay is expected to significantly affect residents across Solano County, including:
- Over 50,000 individuals impacted
- Approximately 20,000 Vallejo residents affected
- Nearly 30% of Vallejo recipients are youth (age 17 and under)
