Mare Island Causeway Bridge Update - June 2026

Great progress continues on the Mare Island Causeway Bridge project! Here’s where things stand:

• Bridge tower painting: 100% complete
• Fender system painting: 100% complete
• Mare Island logo painting: 100% complete
• Handrail painting: 50% complete
• Guardrail post installation: 60% complete
• Broken pile replacement and bent cap extension: complete
• Work under and on top of the bridge deck: ongoing
• New sidewalk installation: ongoing
• Light pole and lighting installation: 50% complete

Overall, the project is about 60% complete.

Due to weather and material availability delays, the anticipated completion date is now mid‑February 2027.
