What does the project include?

    This project will include:

    • Demolishing the existing tank
    • Constructing a new 6-million-gallon water tank
    • Relocating water mains underneath Goheen Circle

In April and May of 2026, you may see crews begin installing temporary fencing, setting up work zones, and bringing in equipment. Demolition of the existing tank will follow. Construction of the new tank is expected to begin in early 2027.

We will provide regular updates, both written and digital, so you know what to expect. Future notices will also be provided in Spanish and Tagalog.

    When will construction take place?

    ·      Work will occur Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    ·      The project is expected to start April 16, 2026 and end on April 15, 2028.

    How will neighbors be impacted?

    ·      Noise. You may hear noise from demolition and construction equipment, including the required truck backup alarms. This will occur during work hours only.

    ·      Traffic. A portion of Goheen Circle between 400-485 may be closed to through-traffic during the project. Local access will be always maintained with signs and traffic control staff.

    ·      Water service. Your water service will remain on during the project. Near the end of construction, there may be one brief shutoff (less than one day) to connect the new tank to the system. We will provide advance notice several days in ahead of time.
