Vallejo Plaza Water Main Replacement Project

The City of Vallejo Water Department is completing the design of the public water main replacement in Vallejo Plaza (formerly Larwin Plaza) and portions of Redwood Street fronting Vallejo Plaza Shopping Center. Construction activities will begin in the middle of summer 2022. Project updates will be provided on this page, be sure to subscribe to receive project updates via the widget on this page.

The project is replacing approximately 3,000 linear feet of water mains and installing 12 new water service laterals as part of the Water Department’s Capital Improvement Project. The project will also include the replacement of ten valves and four fire hydrants. The work will increase the reliability of the water system resulting in fewer main breaks, increased water flow for fire protection, and improved water delivery and overall system reliability. These upgrades represent a significant investment in the long-term effectiveness of the water system for the community.

We understand that this work may be an inconvenience for businesses and some of our residents. Access to businesses will remain open during construction. We commit to working in partnership with you to address your concerns and mitigate all issues related to any temporary shut-off of water service, parking limitations, dust pollution, noise pollution, traffic detours, traffic safety, and any other issues you may identify as we move forward.
