VIP Fiber Celebrates Broadway Village Ribbon-Cutting in Vallejo

On March 5, 2026, community leaders, partners, and residents gathered in Vallejo to celebrate the official ribbon-cutting of Broadway Village, a new permanent supportive housing community designed to help individuals transition from homelessness into stable housing.

Located at 2441 Broadway Street, the development represents a major milestone in Vallejo’s ongoing efforts to address housing insecurity while providing residents with the resources they need to rebuild and thrive.

A New Chapter for Housing in Vallejo

Broadway Village—often referred to as the Broadway Project—was made possible through the State of California’s Homekey program, which supports the creation of housing for people experiencing homelessness. The project received approximately $12 million in grant funding and was developed through a partnership between the City of Vallejo, Firm Foundation Community Housing, and service provider Shelter Inc.

The completed community features:

  • 47 permanent supportive housing units

  • 1 on-site manager’s unit

  • A community room and courtyard

  • Access to supportive services designed to help residents stabilize and regain independence

Residents living at Broadway Village will have access to wraparound services, including case management, life-skills training, financial literacy programs, employment support, and connections to local resources. These services are designed to provide a foundation for long-term success and self-sufficiency.

Connectivity That Supports Opportunity

Access to reliable internet plays a critical role in helping individuals access essential services and opportunities. From applying for jobs to accessing telehealth appointments or online education, connectivity has become a key component of modern housing stability.

VIP Fiber was proud to support this initiative by ensuring residents have access to fast, reliable fiber-optic internet connectivity. By delivering high-speed internet to Broadway Village, VIP Fiber continues its mission to expand digital equity across the community.

Reliable connectivity allows residents to:

  • Search and apply for employment opportunities

  • Access online education and skill-building resources

  • Connect with healthcare providers through telehealth

  • Stay in touch with family, support networks, and community resources

Building a Stronger Vallejo Together

Projects like Broadway Village demonstrate how housing, services, and connectivity can work together to create lasting positive change. By combining stable housing with supportive programs and modern infrastructure, the City of Vallejo and its partners are creating opportunities for residents to rebuild their lives.

As Vallejo continues to invest in community solutions that address homelessness and expand digital access, VIP Fiber remains committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen neighborhoods and connect people to the tools they need to succeed.

The March 5 ribbon-cutting marked more than the opening of a new building—it marked a step forward in Vallejo’s commitment to housing stability, community support, and digital inclusion.
